Join us for the First Annual AMS Conference for Early Career Professionals, hosted by the American Meteorological Society and organized by the AMS Board for Early Career Professionals.  A registration fee of $25 has been set for this conference and registration must be completed online. There will be no on-site registration and YOU MUST REGISTER BY 18 DECEMBER 2012.  Attendees requesting to register after December 18th will need to pay a $15 late fee, in addition to the $25 registration fee.  There will be no requests honored after 1 January 2013.  Please note that you must be an AMS member or student member in order to register for the conference.

In 2012, the AMS established the Board for Early Career Professionals to serve as a resource for the development of early career professionals, both academic and professional, and to serve as a platform for early career involvement in a variety of AMS-sponsored activities.  The First Annual AMS Conference for Early Career Professionals will take place from 1:00–5:00 p.m. on Sunday, 6 January 2013, and will include presentations by fellow early- to mid-career professionals offering guidance on how establish yourself within your selected field, establish effective peer networks for advice and advancement, and include an open discussion to solicit input on how the AMS can further benefit members who are beginning their careers in the atmospheric sciences.  Representation and discussion will include individuals from the private, academic, and government sectors.  Following the conference, attendees and all other AMS Annual Meeting participants are invited to attend the Third Annual AMS Reception for Early Career Professionals.
