Daily Weather Briefings

Monday–Thursday, 7–10 January, 12:45–1:05 P.M.; Room 10B

The National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio Forecast Office, and students from Texas A&M University and University of the Incarnate Word, will present daily lunchtime weather briefings at the 2013 AMS Annual Meeting.These 15–20-minute briefings will focus on North America using the Forecast Funnel approach, followed by application of the forecast impacts on decision support, especially for significant impacts in the local Austin area and Texas. This year the briefings will also include a Space Weather Briefing by a representative of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Space Environment Center.
