About the AMS Annual Meeting

98th AMS Annual Meeting
7–11 January 2018
Austin Convention Center | 500 East Cesar Chavez | Austin, TX

The AMS Annual Meeting is the world’s largest yearly gathering for the weather, water, and climate community. It brings together great minds from a diverse set of scientific disciplines – helping attendees make career-long professional contact and life-long friends while learning from the very top people in the atmospheric sciences.

The president provides the vision and planning for the annual meeting that happens at the end of their year as president. Prior to his passing, Matt Parker worked with many individuals to develop a theme he strongly believed in and was deeply passionate about. We are all committed to continuing the planning and execution of the 2018 annual meeting as envisioned by Matt.
