Our symposium welcomes session ideas from anyone with an interest in the intersection of weather, climate, and society, especially including original research in social and behavioral sciences and public policy related to weather or climate.

Topics Covered

Papers for this conference are solicited on:

  • Societal responses
  • Risk and resilience in the face of climate variability
  • Extreme weather, and climate change
  • Individual responses to routine or extreme weather
  • Communicating weather and climate information, risks and uncertainty: research and applications
  • Policy and decision making at the weather, climate and society Interface.
  • Inspiring Engagement for Climate Resilience  
  • Also, session proposals or papers that specifically address the 2018 meeting theme
