Abstract Fee and Author Instructions
This year the AMS is actively encouraging members of the AMS community to organize topical sessions of broad interest. These session proposals will be coordinated by the AMS Hydrology Technical Committee organizing the 32nd Conference on Hydrology. People interested in organizing hydrological research and applications sessions, particularly those that relate to the general theme of the 98th Annual AMS Meeting, “Transforming communication in the Weather, Water, and Climate Enterprise-Focusing on Challenges Facing Our Science,” are encouraged to contact the AMS Hydrology Committee program chairs (listed below).
Specific papers for this conference are solicited on advances in hydrology and hydrometeorology, both from a scientific and an operational perspective. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
Joint sessions are planned with:
The 32nd Conference on Hydrology will sponsor a competition for students presenting their own original research in hydrology. Student presentations will be judged on scientific content, presentation quality, and the overall effectiveness of the presentation. The competition will award first and second place cash prizes, consisting of $150 for first place and $75 for second place for both oral and poster presentations. A list of previous winners is available at the Hydrology Committee’s webpage. To enter the competition, you must indicate your desire to participate in the competition when submitting your abstract.
Additionally, the 32nd Conference on Hydrology will offer two travel awards, of $525 each, to students presenting at the 32nd Conference on Hydrology. Recipients of the travel grant will be chosen by the Hydrology Committee based on financial need and relevance of the presented work with the goals and mission of the AMS Hydrology Committee. This will be evaluated through a two-page application following the guidelines set forth in this document. For additional information about the student competition or travel grant please contact Francina Dominguez (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The 32nd Conference on Hydrology is organized by the AMS Committee on Hydrology.
