Event Locations

Annual Meeting registration, scientific sessions, poster sessions, short courses, town hall meetings, special sessions, the Annual Meeting Banquet, the Duce Symposium, and exhibits will be held in the Austin Convention Center, 500 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, TX 78701; tel: 512-404-4000. AMS committee meetings and the Duce Symposium Banquet will be held at the Hilton Austin, 500 East 4th Street, Austin, TX 78701; tel: 512-482-8000.

Resource Center

The AMS Resource Center is located in Exhibit Hall 3 of the Austin Convention Center. This year's display includes information on various AMS programs and features the full array of AMS Books, including monographs. AMS retail items will also be available, as well as information on the 2014 Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia. The hours of operation are Sunday, 5:00–7:15 p.m.; Monday–Wednesday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; and Thursday, 9:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m.  


Parking is available near the Austin Convention Center for $11 per day with no in–out privileges (subject to change).

E-mail Stations

E-mail stations will be located on the lobby level and in the Level 3 and 4 Meeting Room Foyers of the convention center. As a courtesy to other attendees, e-mail users are asked to limit their time at the e-mail stations. Hours of operation are Sunday–Thursday, 6–10 January, from 7:30 a.m. until the close of activities in the convention center.

For attendees with their own laptops, wireless access is free in all public areas, such as lobby/prefunction spaces.

Message Center

AMS will operate a message center in the lobby of the Austin Convention Center for meeting attendees and exhibitors. The message center hours of operation are listed below. To leave messages for attendees or exhibitors, please call 512-404-4640:

Monday, 7 January 7:30 A.M.–5:30 P.M.
Tuesday, 8 January 7:30 A.M.–5:30 P.M.

Attendee Information Desk

An Information Desk will be located in the lobby of the Austin Convention Center. The hours of operation on Sunday–Thursday will coincide with those of the Registration Desk.

The information desk provides maps of the convention center as well as schedules of committee meetings and conference sessions, plus details on other programs of interest. A conference message board is available in the convention center lobby for the posting of conference-related information, including last-minute program changes and messages for meeting attendees and student assistants.

Member Services Desk

A Member Services Desk is collocated with the AMS Registration Desk in the lobby of Exhibit Hall 4 of the Austin Convention Center. The Member Services Desk provides attendees with the opportunity to renew dues, apply for membership, and/or inquire about account activity. AMS staff will be available for assistance on Monday, 10:00–5:00 P.M.; Tuesday–Wednesday, 7:30 A.M.–5:30 P.M.; and Thursday, 7:30 A.M.–3:00 P.M.

Business Center

The Austin Convention Center operates a limited business center with a copier, fax machine, and computers with internet access. Payment for these services must be made by credit card. The business center will be open Monday, 7 January–Thursday, 10 January from 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
