Award certificates and cash prizes will be given for the best undergraduate and graduate oral and poster presentations during the conference. Students who wish to be considered for this prize must indicate their eligibility when submitting their abstract.

The biennial AMS AI contest will also be held at the 2014 Annual AMS meeting. The focus will be on predicting solar energy using solar radiation measurements. The data used for prediction will NOAA's second-generation global ensemble reforecast data. The deadline to submit to the contest will be 1 November, 2013.
