Participating in the AMS Career Fair is the perfect way for your organization to attract the attention of more than 3,000 professionals, recent graduates, and current students expected to attend the AMS Annual Meeting in New Orleans.  The AMS Career Fair provides an environment to showcase full-time and part-time job opportunities, internships, graduate programs, and professional development opportunities.  Whether you have jobs to fill or career advice to share, our attendees want to talk to you!

The Career Fair opens on Saturday, January 9, with a reception for the more than 600 undergraduate and graduate students expected to attend the 15th Annual AMS Student Conference.  The Career Fair continues on Sunday, January 10 and is open to all Annual Meeting attendees, including attendees of the Early Career Professionals Conference.  The hours of operation for Saturday and Sunday are as follows:

Saturday 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Sunday 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

We invite you to take advantage of this opportunity to promote your organization and to network with qualified applicants.  If your organization is a Sustaining, Regular, or Small Business AMS Corporation and Institutional Member (CIM), your Career Fair registration is free of charge!  Please contact Beth Farley at [email protected] for a coupon code with which to submit your order.  The registration fee for all other organizations, including Publication CIMs, is $130.  All recruiters are provided with one 6’ table, two chairs, and access to Career Fair attendee resumes.

Information for Job and Graduate School Seekers

The Career Fair is an excellent opportunity to interview on-site, one-on-one, with organizations looking to recruit highly talented individuals.  View available full-time and part-time job opportunities, network with government agency and private industry employees, and meet recruiters from some of the country’s best graduate school programs -- all in one convenient location, and all at no cost.  The Career Fair is open to all attendees of the Annual Meeting and the Student Conference so we encourage you to stop by, whether you are soon-to-be graduate, a young professional, or a seasoned pro!

On the evening of Saturday, January 9, the Career Fair will open with a reception for attendees of the 15th Annual AMS Student Conference. This is a great opportunity for you to meet with employer and graduate school representatives in an informal setting and to schedule interviews for later in the week.  There is no cost to attend this opening night reception but you must be registered for the Student Conference.  If you are registered for the AMS Annual Meeting or the Early Career Professionals conference but are not eligible for the Student Conference, you may attend the Career Fair on Sunday, January 10, from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.

While it is not necessary to register for participation in the Career Fair, you are encouraged to do so if you wish to submit a resume that may be viewed by Career Fair recruiters. If you are not interested in sharing your resume with recruiters prior to the meeting, it is not necessary to register in order to attend.

Please note that we cannot accept resumes from those not registered for the Student Conference, the Early Career Professionals Conference or the Annual Meeting.
