AMS is excited to announce the keynote speaker for the upcoming 98th Annual Meeting will be renowned glaciologist and climate scientist Richard Alley, who serves as the Evan Pugh Professor of Geosciences at Penn State University.
Note that this year’s Presidential Forum will be held on Sunday, 7 January 2018 at 4:00 p.m.; it will not be held on Monday morning, as has been the case in previous years.
During the 98th Annual Meeting in Austin, themed joint sessions offer attendees a great opportunity to learn about cutting-edge science, applications, and outreach activities related to the Annual Meeting theme of “Transforming Local Communication in the Weather, Water, and Climate Enterprise”.
The Core Science Keynotes series is an ongoing element of the AMS Annual Meeting. During the 98th Annual Meeting in Austin, Core Science Keynotes offer attendees a chance to listen to speakers summerize the state of current knowledge in their field.
