The Wayne H. Schubert Symposium will be held on Wednesday, 15 January 2020, at the AMS Annual Meeting in Boston, Massachusetts, in conjunction with 100th Anniversary of the American Meteorological Society. The symposium will celebrate and honor Professor Schubert for his distinguished career as a researcher and educator in atmospheric science. His contributions have been far-reaching and pioneering, yielding profound new insights into tropical cyclones, moist convection, and the dynamics of mesoscale and synoptic-scale phenomena. The symposium will feature a series of invited talks by noted experts on wide-ranging topics that have been the themes of Professor Schubert’s past and ongoing scientific research. A luncheon banquet will also be held on the day of the symposium. We encourage all Annual Meeting attendees to join in this celebration of Professor Schubert’s remarkable career.

The cost of the luncheon is $50.
