The 22nd Conference on the Applications of Air Pollution Meteorology with the A&WMA is sponsored by the American Meteorological Society and organized by the AMS Committee on Meteorological Aspects of Air Pollution.

Call for Papers

Papers for the 22nd Conference on the Applications of Air Pollution Meteorology with the A&WMA are solicited on the following:

  • Addressing Air Quality Challenges at Urban-Land-Water Interfaces During Recent Field Studies;
  • Advancements and Needs in Dispersion Modeling;
  • Air Quality Forecasting;
  • Development of New Models and Parameterizations for Atmospheric Dispersion;
  • High Performance Computing and Air Pollution Meteorology;
  • Laboratory and Field Experiments of Atmospheric Dispersion Processes;
  • Measurements and Standards in Air Pollution Meteorology;
  • Poster Sessions for Air Pollution Topics;
  • Source Inversion and Atmospheric Dispersion Model Validation Topics;
  •  Topics on Boundary Layer Meteorology and Atmospheric Dispersion;
  •  Urban Air Pollution under a Changing Climate and Changing Emission Profiles.

Student Award Opportunities

The conference program committee is also offering student travel awards ($750 each) to help supplement travel expenses. To be eligible for a travel award, students must be current AMS student members and have submitted an abstract for presentation at the meeting. To apply, please send your CV, the submitted abstract, and a brief (1/2 page) justification to the committee chairperson, Erik Kabela at [email protected] by the abstract deadline. Awarded students will be notified by 1 October 2021.
