NCAR has recently developed a draft of our first institutional strategic plan focused specifically on our diversity, education, and outreach (DEO) work. This draft has been developed in collaboration with the NSF and the university community, and is based on input from the NSF, UCAR, and NCAR strategic plans, the UCAR member university needs assessment conducted in 2015, promising practices from the literature, consultation with UCAR and NCAR staff, and additional informal feedback from the university community. We invite members of the AMS community to join us to learn more about the draft plan, our goals, and our planned initiatives, and to provide feedback as we work to finalize the document.
