Student Presentation Awards
The 23rd Symposium on the Coastal Environment is proud to provide outstanding student presentation awards at the AMS 105th Annual Meeting. Monetary awards of up to $200 will be distributed for oral presentations and poster presentations in addition to a PDF certificate from AMS. Students must be enrolled at a college or university at the time of submission and must be the lead author or presenter of the work. Submitters should indicate their eligibility for student awards when submitting their abstracts. Award recipients will be informed of the committee's decision by mid February 2025.
Student Presenter Travel Allowance
The 23rd Symposium on the Coastal Environment is awarding one (1) travel grant of $500 to allow student presenters to attend the AMS 105th Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA 12-16 January 2025. To apply, students (Undergraduate and Post-Graduate) should prepare a short written statement (no more than one page) declaring their financial need and circumstance, relevance of their research to the conference, how they will benefit from attending the conference and a copy of their abstract for the meeting. Students who wish to apply must submit their application to the program chairs via email with the subject line “AMS 105th Annual Meeting - Student Presenter Travel Allowance Application'': Yun Qian ([email protected]) and Gregory Dusek ([email protected]).
