The BECP sponsors an annual Early Career Professionals Conference in conjunction with the AMS Annual Meeting.
Previous conferences have included: rotating group discussions, led by professionals in the atmospheric sciences, who focused on leadership, diversity in the workplace, work-life balance, deciding when to move onto another job, and how to get another job; panel discussions by AMS leadership and meteorologists throughout the field on their life experiences; and joint sessions with Annual Student Conference to focus skills not learned in school.
The Ninth Annual Conference for Early Career Professionals will be held in January 2021 during the AMS Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA.
