Meet the President

One of AMS President J. Marshall Shepherd's goals during his tenure was to make the leadership of the Society as accessible as possible to the membership. It is very important to him that the President and other leaders not appear to the Membership only during the Annual Meeting banquet or as authors of an article in BAMS. For this reason, Dr. Shepherd has been available and accessible at various meetings throughout the year, on social media (@DrShepherd2013 on Twitter), and in other formats. Dr. Shepherd also plans to continue the “Meet the President” sessions during the 2014 AMS Annual Meeting. He invites you to come share your thoughts and concerns, or just to say hello. Dr. Shepherd has also invited Dr. Julie Winkler, an active AMS member of long standing and President of the Association of American Geographers (AAG), to participate in one of the sessions to share exciting news about ongoing partnerships between the AMS and AAG. This will be happening Tuesday—Thursday, at different times each day, allowing interested attendees more opportunities to find time to visit. Below is the schedule to chat with Dr. Shepherd:
