Short Courses and Workshops

Short courses allow you to hone your skills and knowledge in a specific area of expertise. Short courses are offered Saturday and Sunday prior to the Annual Meeting.

The Career Resource and Graduate School Fair is an excellent opportunity for job seekers and organizations to network. Job seekers can interview on site, in a one-on-one setting, with organizations looking to recruit highly talented individuals.

Eighth AMS Conference for Early Career Professionals

The 8th Annual AMS Conference for Early Career Professionals serves as a gateway for graduate students and those early in their careers to connect and network with other members, boards, and leaders of AMS.

Exhibitor Participation

In addition to the weekend Career Fair, attendees will have the opportunity to interact with organizations in the exhibit hall throughout the week. Participating exhibitors will have handouts available at their booth that will include company information, job opportunities, and desired skills. A 'handshake' symbol in the exhibitor listing and at their booth indicates participation.

Workshop on Work Climate: Responding to Sexual Harassment

Wednesday, 15 January 2020, 1:30 p.m.–4:00 p.m., Room 205C

This workshop, part of the Symposium on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, was developed by the ADVANCEGeo Partnership team, with funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation ADVANCE program to transform workplace climate through bystander intervention and research ethics training.
