Poster Judges Needed for AMS Student Conference
This year, over 200 students will be presenting a poster about their latest research projects at the AMS Student Conference in Seattle on the evening of Sunday, January 22nd (from 5:30-7:30pm). While some of them may be giving follow-up talks and poster presentations later on during the week, this will be many students' only chance to show off their hard work from the past year. It'll be the one of the only chances you have in Seattle to get a sneak peek at what research ideas are brewing in the minds of our community's next generation of scientists and researchers!
The AMS Student Conference Poster Session is open to all AMS attendees, but we're looking to recruit several dozen members of the community to more directly engage with our students by serving as volunteer judges for our poster competition. We plan to highlight our top undergraduate and graduate poster presenters with awards, and we need your help to figure out who those deserving students and posters are!
Poster judges must be professionals or senior graduate students.
If you think you can help us with judging our poster competition, please fill out this form. We request that poster judges arrive at the poster hall prior to the start of the poster session (by 4:45pm) so that we’ll be ready to begin the judging promptly at 5:30pm. REGISTRATION FOR THE STUDENT CONFERENCE IS NOW CLOSED. WE HAVE REACHED MAXIMUM CAPACITY AND WILL NOT ACCEPT REGISTRATIONS ON-SITE.
* Student Conference registration is separate from AMS Annual Meeting Registration. If you would like to attend the AMS Annual Meeting (Mon-Thur) as well, you must register separately.
