Weather and Travel Update

As you travel to Houston, make safety your top priority and stay weather-aware, as conditions may change rapidly.  Monitor https://www.weather.gov/hgx and https://www.houstontranstar.org/ for the latest.

We encourage attendees to:

  • Check with your airline for the latest flight status and rebooking options
  • Contact your hotel directly to notify them of any arrival changes
  • Check https://www.houstontranstar.org/ for the latest local travel information and note:
    •  **UPDATE FOR Monday, Jan. 26**
    • Houston METRO: Delayed Monday reopenings:
    • 9 a.m. – HOV/HOT lanes reopen
    • 11 a.m. – METROLift, curb2curb and Community Connector service begins
    • 12 p.m. – Local bus service is planned to resume in full
    • 12 p.m. – 500 Downtown Direct begins service as conditions allow
  • METRO will continue to assess conditions and provide updates regarding Tuesday service as weather and roadway conditions become clearer.

If your travel is delayed or disrupted, please know that in-person/hybrid registration includes access to all virtual sessions, so you can still participate remotely.
