Eugenia Kalnay Symposium
The Kalnay Symposium will be held on Wednesday, 7 January and will focus on Dr. Kalnay’s seminal contributions in advancing understanding of atmospheric and oceanic modeling, data assimilation, predictability, and most recently climate change and the human system have powerfully shaped the development of these fields and through their development have had a huge impact on all of climate research. The Symposium will honor these scientific contributions as well as Dr. Kalnay’s generosity in contributing time and effort to help generations of colleagues and students. The program will be designed around these four themes with two sessions in the morning and two in the afternoon, separated by the Symposium lunch. The Symposium will include both invited and submitted papers. The Program Committee warmly welcomes submitted papers related to the four themes, which can be either oral or poster.
