Arizona Science Center Reception

All are invited to attend the reception at the Arizona Science Center which will feature a demonstration of Water Sim—an interactive decision support tool for water resources and "23|5 Talks," an hour-long set of public talks will follow the format of the well-known Technology, Entertainment, Design (TED) talks. This year, our  speakers will present topics of interest to the general public and Phoenix in particular.

 

WeatherFest
Sunday, 4 January, 12:00–4:00 P.M.; Exhibit Hall 1

Make plans to join us for WeatherFest, a FREE fun and fascinating look at all things weather. Open to weather enthusiasts of all ages, this annual weather fair is one of the most popular events at the AMS Annual Meeting. Parents, teachers, kids, youth groups, and others are invited to spend the afternoon learning about the weather, participating in fun activities, and even giving a weather forecast in front of a real green screen!

GoExtreme!
3:00 - 4:00 P.M.
This year, we are adding a new program for middle school and high school kids called GoExtreme! This hour-long panel talk will focus on extreme weather with top experts the field.
