2015 AMS Annual Meeting

The 18th Conference on the Middle Atmosphere will focus on processes in the stratosphere and mesosphere, including their interactions with tropospheric weather and climate. Conference sessions are anticipated to focus on issues of relevance to the middle atmosphere, including expected signatures of climate change in middle atmospheric physical and chemical processes.  An emphasis will be on advancing understanding of processes by the use of observations in conjunction with models of varying degrees of complexity. A number of joint sessions with other conferences and symposia taking place during the 2015 Annual Meeting are expected, in order to focus on the role played by the middle atmosphere in weather analysis and prediction and on the interactions between stratospheric change, including ozone loss and recovery, and the forcing of climate.  Presentations will also be solicited that place the middle atmosphere in the context of the theme of the 2015 AMS Annual Meeting. The theme for the 2015 AMS Annual Meeting is “Fulfilling the Vision of Weather, Water, and Climate Information for Every Need, Time, and Place”.
