Contingency Plan for Government Shutdown

Contingency Plan for Government Shutdown

We are in the process of discussing with the conference hotels and planning should a government shutdown occur. Please check back for more information as it is made available.

Hotel Reservations

Please check this document to view the current Hotel Cancellation Policies for AMS sponsored hotels.

Please note: Should there be a government shutdown, these dates may be adjusted. If this happens please check back on this page.

Registration

Our current refund policy is as follows:

Refunds (less a $25 processing fee) will be granted for cancellations received on or before 21 December 2019.

After 21 December, refunds for cancelled registrations will not be granted.

AMS will consider amending this policy for those affected by a government shutdown, should one occur, on December 20.

Should you have questions regarding registration refunds or to request a refund, please contact [email protected].

Presentations

At this time, we ask Presenting Authors to begin making arrangements in case of a government shutdown.  Please plan to have your own contingency plan in the event that you will not be able to join us in Boston regardless of your government status (i.e. travel issues due to weather, illness, etc.). This includes identifying a backup presenter and sharing a preliminary version of the presentation before 20 December.
