Registration

The deadline to register for the 103rd Annual Meeting has passed.

*PLEASE NOTE: Registration for the In-Person 22nd Annual Student Conference is limited. We recommend registering by 23 December if you plan to attend in-person. There will be NO onsite registration.

We are committed to ensuring that the 103rd Annual Meeting allows you to share your science and connect with one another in as many ways as possible. That includes:

  • 40+ live oral sessions, including a mix of presentations made by in-person and virtual presenters, for a total of 600+ for the week.

  • Q+A’s and discussions with all in-person and virtual oral presenters in real time via Zoom and/or audience microphone.

  • Recordings from all oral sessions (available at the session level in the online program 72 hours after the session ends).

  • All poster presentations (in-person and virtual)

  • Abstracts and supplementary material (PDFs, slides, links, etc.) for all presentations in the online program as long as the presenter has uploaded these materials. (Please note: Providing supplementary material is optional for presenters.)

  • Asynchronous Q&A chat with presenters and session chairs before and after presentations take place

  • Attendee to attendee messaging

  • Access to the online exhibitor listing

All participants, in-person and virtual, will have access to content before, during, and up to three months after the meeting takes place.

Special Conference information, including the 22nd Annual Student Conference, can be found here.

*PLEASE NOTE:  AMS Full Members, AMS Student Members, and AMS Retired Members must have a 2023 AMS Membership to receive the rates posted below.

Registration Policies

  • Everyone presenting (both oral and poster, in-person and virtually) and/or attending the 103rd AMS Annual Meeting must register. Early registration rates are valid through Thursday, 1 December 2022. The last day to register for in-person registration, or switch attendance method between virtual and in-person, is 29 December 2022.

  • By registering for the AMS Annual Meeting, you are agreeing to adhere to the Professional and Respectful Conduct at AMS Meetings policy and AMS Meeting Health and Safety Policy and Waiver.

  • Please note that an individual must have a 2023 AMS membership to receive a Member registration rate.

  • No on-site registration will be available for in-person attendance.  In-person attendance must be completed in advance.

  • Cancellation policy: Those registered may cancel their registration up until and through 15 December. Refunds (less a $25 processing fee) will be granted. Please email [email protected] with questions or to request the cancellation. After 15 December no refunds will be granted for canceled registrations.

  • Abstract Fee:  Please note that the fee of $120 paid by presenters during abstract submission is refundable only if the abstract is NOT accepted.  The abstract fee is separate from the registration fee.

  • Registration rates for the 103rd Annual Meeting are the same for in-person and virtual participants. We made this decision so that we can offer a robust, flexible, and equal experience for everyone, whether you are in-person or virtual. Other factors involved include:

    • Increased costs for the in-person experience (audiovisual expenses, food and beverage costs, facility rental, on-site labor, travel costs, health and safety protocols etc.)

    • Increased costs for the remote experience (internet and hardware for live streaming, software for messaging and chat, labor, etc.)

    • It makes it easier for attendees to change their registration method from in-person to virtual and vice versa

    • It allows presenters the opportunity to present/facilitate discussion in-person or virtually with an in-person and virtual audience.

In keeping with our goal to ensure that anyone who wants to participate in the Annual Meeting can do so—the AMS is piloting a program to provide financial support for complementary and reduced registration fees. There is a limited amount of funding available for this pilot program. Those who can show financial need and/or are from professional groups that would typically not receive funding from their home institution to attend an AMS Annual Meeting will be considered.
The application deadline has passed. Applicants will be notified by November 15th.
