Representing the core of the AMS Annual Meeting, they provide the backbone for the organization of our technical sessions.
From forums and poster presentations to luncheons and receptions, Events allow attendees to connect with other members of the AMS community, exchange ideas, and share experiences.
Special Sessions give AMS Members the chance to learn new skills, from presenting and publishing, to new technology and best practices.
Short courses allow you to hone your skills and knowledge in a specific area of expertise. Short courses are offered Saturday and Sunday prior to the Annual Meeting.
Town Hall Meetings are informal discussions that cover some of the hottest topics and draw some of the biggest names in the water, weather, and climate community. They are held during breaks in the technical sessions, so grab a bag lunch and join in!
Side Panel Discussions are the more formal partner of Town Hall Meetings - they allow for conversations to continue outside of the technical sessions and still be recorded. Panelists present introductory material and allow for discussion.
