Guest Registration

All registered attendees for the 99th Annual Meeting may bring up to two guests to the meeting.  Each guest will be required to wear a badge, which can be picked up at the registration desk, and be accompanied by a registered attendee. Guests will not be able attend sessions but are allowed into town hall meetings, formal poster viewings/receptions, the exhibit hall and coffee breaks. Please note: In order for guest(s) attend food functions or excursions, the attendee will need to purchase additional ticket(s) during online registration or at the AMS registration desk. 

Guest Program

We are rolling out a new and improved guest program, which will be open to all guests who are coming to Phoenix with 99th Annual Meeting attendees! Check back here for updates.

In the meantime, make sure you add your guest's name and email address during the registration process so that you both receive notifications regarding the exciting opportunities we have planned! 

Guests Welcome Desk

Guest are encouraged to stop by the Guest Welcome Desk to learn more about the guest program! The Guest Welcome Desk is located in the Phoenix Convention Center North Lower Level Prefunction. Hours are listed below.

Guest Coffee

All guests of registered attendees are invited to stop by to meet other guests. This event will include coffee and a presentation from Visit Phoenix so guests can plan to make the most of their trip.

Tree Planting Guest Volunteer Project 

The American Meteorological Society (AMS) is teaming up with The City of Phoenix, Keep Phoenix Beautiful and Verizon Green for a tree planting volunteer event at Steele Indian School Park. With funds provided from Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department, Verizon Green and AMS 30 trees will be planted in efforts to combat the Urban Heat Island effect and contribute to the cities Tree and Shade Master Plan goals.

All guests are invited to partake in this opportunity on Wednesday, January 9th, 2019 from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. Tickets are available for $10. 

Bus Pick Up Time: 8:30 am – 8:45 am

Departure Time: 9:00 am

Bus Pick Up Location: Phoenix Convention Center (bus loading zone on the East side of 3rd Street, between the crosswalk on 3rd Street and Washington Street)

Tree Planting Location: Steele Indian School Park (300 E Indian School Rd)
