Presentation Topics

Papers for this conference are solicited on all aspects of climate variability and change, including (but not limited to) the following topics: advances in climate modeling and prediction; aerosol / climate interactions; the AMOC’s role in climate variability and change; attribution and detection; climate observations; data assimilation; extreme events; interannual, decadal, and multidecadal variability; general topics in climate variability and change; large-scale circulation; the MJO; modes of climate variability; ocean and climate; satellite observations and climate; sea-ice and climate; sub-seasonal-to-seasonal (S2S) processes and predictability; decadal predictability.

The $95 abstract fee  (payable by credit card or purchase order) is refundable only if your abstract is not accepted.

What's Included

Your fee includes your abstract, extended abstract (optional), and your recorded oral presentation posted to the online program which is available to all visitors for free. 

Student Award Opportunities

The Climate Variability and Change Committee is pleased to host a student award for undergraduate or graduate first author oral and poster presenters. Students will be awarded a small cash prize, as well as a certificate from the AMS. These awards will be voted on by members of the Climate Variability and Change Committee, as well as peers in our field. Students who wish to be considered for these awards must indicate their eligibility when submitting their abstract.
