Special Conference Registration

21st Annual AMS Student Conference


Registration rates for the 21st Annual AMS Student Conference are posted below and registration will open in mid-October 2021. Details on attendee participation and presenter participation can be found on the Virtual Options page.

The Student Conference is open to any undergraduate or graduate student who is an active AMS Student Member or Member–Graduate Student. Apply for/renew membership here if necessary before registering. Student Conference registration is separate from AMS Annual Meeting registration. If you would like to attend the AMS Annual Meeting (Mon–Thurs) as well, please visit the main page for more information.

The deadline to register for the 21st Annual AMS Student Conference is Thursday, 20 January. 

Register for the Student Conference

The registration rate is $60 before 15 December 2021. The registration rate is $80 after 15 December.

Ways to Register for the Student Conference:

  1. If you are attending the Annual Meeting, select your Annual Meeting admission item and click Next.
  2. If you are not attending the annual meeting select the IN PERSON Short Courses Only registration option and click Next.

10th AMS Conference for Early Career Professionals

The 10th AMS Conference for Early Career Professionals will be held as part of the 2022 Annual Meeting.  Registration for the Annual Meeting will include access to the Early Career Conference, a separate registration is not required.  


25th Conference of Atmospheric Science Librarians International

Press Registration 

Eligibility for press registration is limited to the working press and freelance science writers with appropriate identification, as well as public information officers of scientific societies, educational institutions, and government agencies.

Registration Policies

Everyone presenting (both oral and poster, in-person or virtually) and/or attending the 102nd AMS Annual Meeting (in-person or virtually) must register. Early registration rates are valid through Wednesday, 1 December 2021. 

Please note that an individual must have a 2022 AMS membership to receive a Member registration rate.

Refunds (less a $50 processing fee) will be granted for cancellations received on or before 5 January 2022.

 After 5 January 2022, refunds for cancelled registrations will not be granted.

By registering for the AMS Annual Meeting, you are agreeing to adhere to the Professional and Respectful Conduct at AMS Meetings policy.

Abstract Fee:  Please note that the abstract fee of $95 is refundable only if the abstract is NOT accepted.  The abstract fee is separate from the registration fee.
