Special Conference Registration

21st Annual AMS Student Conference

 

Registration rates for the 21st Annual AMS Student Conference are posted below and registration will open in mid-October 2021. Details on attendee participation and presenter participation can be found on the Virtual Options page.

The Student Conference is open to any undergraduate or graduate student who is an active AMS Student Member or Member–Graduate Student. Apply for/renew membership here if necessary before registering. Student Conference registration is separate from AMS Annual Meeting registration. If you would like to attend the AMS Annual Meeting (Mon–Fri) as well, please visit the main page for more information.

We are committed to ensuring that the 21st Annual AMS Student Conference allows you to share your science and connect with one another however we can - whether it be in-person, remotely, or a mix of both - despite the uncertainties and challenges we are all facing. Regardless of the way you attend, we know it will be a useful and unique experience. Here are some notes on changes for this year:

  • All in-person participants will, in addition to access to all in-person offerings, will have access to all virtual content listed below before, during, and six months after the meeting takes place.
  • All remote participants will have access to all virtual content before, during, and six months after the meeting takes place including:
    • Recordings from all in-person oral sessions
    • Online meeting room links and presentation schedule for individual remote poster presentations
      • Please note only students presenting in-person in Houston will be eligible for poster session awards.
    • Abstracts and supplementary material (such as pdfs, links etc.) for all presentations (in-person as well as remote)
    • Asynchronous Q&A chat with presenters (in-person as well as remote) before and after presentations take place
    • Attendee to attendee (in-person and remote) messaging

Register for the Student Conference

The registration rate is $60 before 15 December 2021. The registration rate is $80 after 15 December.

10th AMS Conference for Early Career Professionals

The 10th AMS Conference for Early Career Professionals will be held as part of the 2022 Annual Meeting.  Registration for the Annual Meeting will include access to the Early Career Conference, a separate registration is not required.  

 

25th Conference of Atmospheric Science Librarians International

Information regarding registration for the 25th Conference of Atmospheric Science Librarians International will be posted in late September.

 

Registration Policies

Everyone presenting (both oral and poster, in-person or virtually) and/or attending the 102nd AMS Annual Meeting (in-person or virtually) must register. Early registration rates are valid through Wednesday, 1 December 2021. 

Please note that an individual must have a 2022 AMS membership to receive a Member registration rate.

By registering for the AMS Annual Meeting, you are agreeing to adhere to the Professional and Respectful Conduct at AMS Meetings policy.

Abstract Fee:  Please note that the abstract fee of $95 is refundable only if the abstract is NOT accepted.  The abstract fee is separate from the registration fee.
