Eugenia Kalnay Symposium

Dr. Kalnay’s seminal contributions in advancing our understanding of atmospheric and oceanic modeling, data assimilation, predictability, and most recently climate change and the human system have powerfully shaped the development of these fields and through their development have had a huge impact on all of climate research. The Symposium will honor these scientific contributions as well as Dr. Kalnay’s generosity in contributing her time and effort to help generations of colleagues and students.    All registrants for the AMS Annual Meeting are invited to attend the Kalnay Symposium. A luncheon to honor Eugenia Kalnay will be held on Wednesday, 7 January. A ticket to the Kalnay luncheon is not included in the conference registration package and must be purchased separately. Attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets when preregistering. The cost of a ticket is $45 and a limited number of tickets will be available at the AMS Registration desk until 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, 6 January.
