What to Expect

Before the meeting
  • Check the online program to confirm your presentation date and time
  •  Let everyone know that you’ll be presenting on Twitter. Include the #AMS2023 hashtag and @ametsoc handle.
  • Register at the Virtual Presenter Rate
  • Visit Presenter's Corner to manage your abstract:
    • Confirm/Change Presentation Method: Virtual/In-Person (by 1 December)
    • Check/Change Abstract Title (by 2 November)
    • Check/Change Author Listing (by 2November)
    • Upload Optional Supplementary Information (by 13 February):

      • PDF of Poster 

      • PDF File  

      • Image(s) 

      • Extended Abstract  

        • Extended Abstract Guidelines:

        • There is a 100 MB file size limit.

        • The following file types may be uploaded: PDF document (*.pdf).

      • Supplementary URL  

    • Withdraw Abstract

  • Read Virtual Poster Presenter emails sent from the AMS Meetings Department for more information on managing your abstract online and giving your presentation.
  • Look for an email notification from other attendees asking about your abstract via asynchronous chat feature in the online program and mobile app. Be sure to respond to get a discussion going!
During the meeting

Each presenters will receive their own Zoom breakout room. Once in your breakout room you will be able to share information with attendees as they pop into your room. 

The 103rd AMS Annual Meeting virtual poster session will occur on Tuesday, 10 January 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM Mountain. 

  1.  Log into the online program
  2. Find the 'Join Now' button for your poster session and join 20 minutes prior to the start of the session.
  3. A chair will make an announcement in the main Zoom room to introduce all poster presenters to the attendees.
  4. Presenters will join their own breakout room. Once in your breakout room you will be able to share information with all the attendees as they pop into your room. 

Please note the 22nd Annual Student Conference's virtual poster session will take place on Sunday, 8 January. 

After

  • Look for an email notification that a question has been asked about your abstract via asynchronous chat feature in the online program. Be sure to respond to keep the discussion going!

  • Upload Optional Supplementary Information in Presenter's Corner (by 13 February):

    • Extended Abstract

    • PDF Presentation Slide File 

    • Supplementary URL

We encourage all presenters to submit supplementary information as your time to present at the meeting is limited. Posting this information online is an excellent opportunity to include more detailed information that may require more time for study than is available at the meeting. All supplementary information is available in the meeting online program within 24 hours of upload – so you can reference it before, during, and after the meeting!
