Call for Papers

Major Weather Impacts is looking at the science, decision support and the impacts of major weather events that occurred in the winter of 2024-25 and throughout the year of 2025.  From hurricanes, to winter storms, from tsunami events to severe weather outbreaks, if a weather, water or climate event impacted the public or your clients, this session is for you.  We have one day of presentations and a poster session that you can submit to.  This is not meant to be a meteorological review, although a few slides on the event can be included.  The focus is on WHAT happened, how it was communicated before, during and after the event, and the societal impacts that resulted.

We will not accept papers/posters that do not cover this time frame or focus on the topic of weather impacts.

Deadline:  August 14th  (There WILL NOT be an extension for this conference call for papers).  Significant events after August 14th will have presentations/speakers who are invited/recruited by the conference committee.
