Papers for the 21st Symposium on the Coastal Environment are solicited on the following:

  • Modeling Coastal and Hydrological Coupling for Compound Water Interactions 
  • Other Topics in Coastal Environment 

Joint Sessions

  • Impacts in the Coastal Environment due to Climate Change (Joint between the 36th Conference on Climate Variability and Change and the 21st Symposium on the Coastal Environment) 
  • Use Cases Describing how Ocean Data, Information and Knowledge delivers Societal and Economic Benefits in our Coastal Waters and Regions (Joint with the WWCE Symposium)
  • Weather And Climate Predictions For Coastal Regions (Joint between the 21st Symposium on the Coastal Environment and the 36th Conference on Climate Variability and Change)

Student Award Opportunities

The 21st Symposium on the Coastal Environment will host a student paper competition with award certificates and cash prizes for exemplary undergraduate and graduate student oral presentations. Students must be the first author and presenting their own, original work. Students who wish to be considered for this prize must indicate their eligibility when submitting their abstract.
