Abstract Fee and Author Instructions
All presenters must also register for the meeting.
The 22nd Conference on Air-Sea Interaction is sponsored by the American Meteorological Society and organized by the AMS Committee on Air-Sea Interaction.
Papers and posters for this conference are solicited on all aspects of air-sea interaction across a wide spectrum of temporal and spatial scales. General sessions for the conference will be based on the number and topics of abstracts received. Although not an exhaustive list, we welcome abstracts covering the following topics:
Gas exchange at the air-water interface
Global estimates of air-sea fluxes including heat, moisture, and/or momentum
High-latitude air-sea interaction, including air-sea-ice coupling
Physical processes at the air-sea interface, including waves, spray, bubbles, and aerosols
Wave-current interactions and implications on air-sea transfer
Air-sea interactions and tropical convection (Joint between the 23rd Conference on Air-Sea Interaction and the 36th Conference on Climate Variability and Change)
Air Water Interactions From Point Measurements to Latitudinal Gradients (Joint between the 27th Conference on Integrated Observing and Assimilation Systems for the Atmosphere, Oceans, and Land Surface (IOAS-AOLS) and the 23rd Conference on Air-Sea Interaction)
Linkages between the air-sea interface and the marine boundary layer (Joint between the 23rd Conference on Air-Sea Interaction and the 24th Symposium on Boundary Layers and Turbulence)
Remote sensing opportunities for air-sea interaction (Joint between the 23rd Conference on Air-Sea Interaction and the 23rd Symposium on Meteorological Observation and Instrumentation)
Tropical or extratropical interactions and their impacts on climate (Joint between the 23rd Conference on Air-Sea Interaction and the 36th Conference on Climate Variability and Change)
23rd Conference on Air-Sea Interaction Student Presentation Awards
The AMS Committee on Air-Sea Interaction will host a student paper competition to recognize outstanding student contributions. Cash awards will be presented for the top oral and poster presentations given by first author students presenting their own original work. Both graduate and undergraduate students can apply for the competition. Students who wish to be considered for the competition must indicate their eligibility when submitting their abstracts. Students from under-represented minority groups are strongly encouraged to apply.
