The 24th Conference on Aviation, Range, and Aerospace Meteorology is sponsored by the American Meteorological Society and organized by the AMS Committee on Aviation, Range, and Aerospace Meteorology.

 

Networking Event

The AMS Aviation, Range and Aerospace Meteorology (ARAM) Committee is hosting a mixer/reception sponsored by Climavision during the AMS Annual Meeting. The event is geared towards providing students and early career professionals an opportunity to network with members of the ARAM committee to learn more about careers and opportunities across this highly diverse field. During the year’s event  former ARAM committee student member, Ms. Samantha Carlson, will talk about how her involvement with the ARAM committee provided career opportunities eventually resulting in her becoming an employee with the FAA.

Student Award Opportunities

The Aviation, Range, and Aerospace Meteorology (ARAM) Conference will award two (2) Student Oral Presentation and two (2) Student Poster Presentation prizes at the 24th Conference on Aviation, Range, and Aerospace Meteorology.  This award recognizes outstanding student contributions based on the student's oral presentation and extended abstract contribution.

 Contenders for the award must satisfy the following requirements:

  •  Be enrolled at a university (either at undergraduate or graduate level) at the time of the submission
  • Be the lead author and presenter of the work
  • Submit an extended abstract through AMS web site before the conference

Students who wish to be considered for this prize should indicate their interest when submitting the short abstract for consideration by the ARAM conference organizers. Previous winners of this prize are no longer eligible.
