The Ninth AMS Symposium on the Joint Center for Satellite Data Assimilation (JCSDA) is sponsored by the American Meteorological Society and organized by the Committee on Satellite Meteorology, Oceanography, and Climatology

Call for Papers

Papers for the Ninth AMS Symposium on the Joint Center for Satellite Data Assimilation (JCSDA) are solicited on the following:

  • Developments in the Joint Effort for Data Assimilation Integration (JEDI);
  • Improvements and additions to Contributions to the Community Radiative Transfer Model (CRTM);
  • Improved Data Assimilation Techniques (bias corrections ,observation errors, etc.);
  • Applications of machine learning and artificial intelligence to data assimilation;
  • All-sky radiance data assimilation;
  • Land, Ocean, and Cryosphere data assimilation;
  • Coupled Earth Systems DA including air quality and aerosols, and trace gases;
  • Data Impact Assessments 1 - Exploring the complementary nature of the Global Observing System;
  • Data Impact Assessments 2 -  Results for new satellites/sensors and/or improved methods;
  • Assimilation of Active Sensor Data from satellites including lidar, radar, and GNSSRO.
