The Ninth Symposium on Advances in Modeling and Analysis Using Python is sponsored by the American Meteorological Society and organized by the AMS Committee on Environmental Information Processing Technologies. More details on the symposium will be forthcoming soon.

Topics Covered

Papers for this conference are solicited on describing Python work in applications, methodologies, and package development in the following topics:

  • Working with large data sets using Python
  • Visualization and data discovery using Python
  • Teaching, training, outreach and building communities around Python
  • Python as a control/scripting framework
  • Python in operations and research to operations
  • New Python tools in the atmospheric and oceanographic sciences

In addition there will be a joint session between the Python Symposium and the Conference on Artificial and Computational Intelligence Applications. Papers using Python in machine learning and associated applications will be considered for inclusion.
